I have long been eyeing and loving reusable snack and sandwich bags. I'm so excited because I finally got one of my very own and I L*O*V*E it!!!!!

Shop owner, Elena was so kind and sent me over an adorable organic reusable snack/sandwich bag for me to review and I am instantly in love. Every single day little Milton and I go out walking and he has his crackers for a snack while we walk and I hate to say it but I was using little plastic sandwich baggies. Don't kill me!! 

Hallelujah!!!!!!

 I can now officially be green and use this adorable reusable snack bag from Bebeloosh Mini. The fabric is lovely, soft and durable made of 55% recycled hemp and 45% organic cotton! L*O*V*E that combo!! The bag is adorned with a very sturdy Velcro strip that holds the bag tightly closed. The bags are adorned with adorable little designs too. I got a butterfly!

I also L*O*V*E the size!!! It certainly big enough for a large sandwich but I would put a sandwich and a snack in these bags. Absolutely perfect!!! PERFECT Christmas gift!!!

Reminiscing

I hadn't looked at our wedding album in a very long time. I can remember when we first got married I would look at this probably ten times a day and cry every time. It's funny how things change but it still makes me cry every time I see it. I'm not sure why but I was feeling very romantic and hopeful this evening so I decided to give our most treasured day a visit and I'm so glad I did. I love my husband more than anything and feel like the luckiest girl in the world to have him forever. Sometimes when your eight months pregnant and chasing a one year old around all day it's easy to forget this. Tonight I remember...........I don't usually get incredibly personal here but I thought I would share my most treasured day with all of you tonight. Natchitoches Meat Pies

Obviously I am totally obsessed with making pies. I L*O*V*E pies!!! I love sweet and savory, fruit and meat! YUM! So, I've been wanting to make meat pies for a long time but wanted to make sure I got them just right. Since my hubby is a southern boy, born and raised in New Orleans I decided on spicy Nachitoches meat pies. They turned out A*M*A*Z*I*N*G! My husband said they are one of the best things I've EVER made. EVER! Crazy! Anyway, I used THIS RECIPE but of course had to make some of my own additions. I have found that beef and potato go really well together. I always use potato in my ground beef tacos and meatballs. So for this recipe I added 2 finely grated potatoes to the meat mixture. It adds an unbelievable extra richness to the meat and adds a wonderful tender moisture. Once it's all cooked up you won't even know the potato is in there, you'll just know it tastes extra good. Try it!!! I also added 2 diced carrots to the veggies and quiet a few spices. I added 1 tablespoon of paprika for a smokey flavor. 1 tablespoon of Cayenne for spice and a few shakes of garlic salt. I ALWAYS use THIS recipe for my pie crusts and it has never failed me. I love it so much I have it memorized.I hope you will try these. They really are wonderful.

Stewed Lentils

Stewed lentils have always been one of my favorite dishes. It reminds me of my childhood. My mother used to make lentils often. It's a great dish in the winter months also. It's warm and comforting as stew or soup would be. I grew up a vegetarian so I always knew this dish without meat but since I have started eating meat I love this dish with bacon, sausage or ground pork.I was so excited to make this dish yesterday because I hadn't made it in so long and you'll never guess what I did. After I finished making it I put it on simmer, forgot about it, and went shopping with little M. When I came home it wasn't exactly burnt but WAY over done and not exactly edible:( So here's the recipe and a couple photos but unfortunately we have no finished product because I ruined it. But I promise if you make this correctly it will come out wonderfully. 
Ingredients:1 onion, diced4 toes of garlic, minced3 carrots. diced3 stalks of celery, diced4 potatoes, peeled and cubed1 large can of whole peeled tomatoes (San Marzano if you can find them, mash and separate with hands)4 cups of lentils1 pound of ground pork (or one package of bacon or hot sausage)3 tablespoons olive oil2 quarts chicken stock
 Recipe: Saute garlic, onion, and ground pork in olive oil for about 10 min. Then add carrots, celery, and potato and cook until just a little tender then add tomatoes, chicken stock and lentils. Salt and pepper to taste. Now simmer for about 30 minuets or until lentils are just tender. Please don't go run errands and forget about it like I did:)

33 Weeks

33 weeks pregnant one year apart!!It's amazing how much bigger I was the first time around!!

How far along? 33 weeks

Baby’s Size: Over 4  pounds

Bellybutton: Still in

Stretchmarks: No new ones but the old ones are more visible now

Maternity Clothes: Yes, Everyday but at least I'm not as big as I was last year:)

Gender: sweet baby GIRL! Little Ginger!!! 

Movement: YES!!! Lots and lots of kicking. 

Sleep: Well, unfortunately this has taken a turn for the worse but I am grateful it lasted as long as it did. I was only sleeping a couple hours a night with little Milton by the 7th month!

Symptoms: Short of breath, dizzy, tired, back ache, serious mood swings. My poor, poor husband and these NEVER seem to change! 

Food Aversions: I'm not very hungry these days. I don't think there's enough room in my body for food and my little Ginger! But I think my OB will be finally be happy because I'll probably loose a few pounds. Those doctors are driving me crazy!! I'm a nurse so I think I'm programmed to think that way anyhow but seriously I have never been harassed so much in my life about my weight and I'm pregnant for crying out loud!! AND I've only gained 17 pounds so far. Anybody else have the same experience? 

Food Cravings: Cookies and Milk........Danish butter cookies to be exact!

Best Moments this week: I have new opportunities on the horizon that I am VERY excited about!! I'll share more about that later

What I miss: MY SKINNY JEANS AND HIGH HEELS!! Still true from last week! STILL!!! I've been pregnant for 2 years straight.

What I am Looking forward to:  Decorating the nursery and I get to start this week. YAY!

I was interested to know a bit more about Cecilia and her shop so I asked her to write up a bio for us to get to know a little more about her and her shop, So Tei-Tei. Here's what she had to say, 
"I'm a 28 years old, computer programmer is my profession and I'm a passionate crafter since I was a child. I'm married to a wonderful man and I'm the mother of a 2 years old little princess. I've been living abroad for a while (now we are back home since 3 months ago) and I've been an stay at home mom since my baby was born, because of those 2 things I started to craft and sew as a way to keep me sane :) Soon I found myself painting, sewing, designing, working with all kind of materials. Right now my favorite places to visit are craft and sewing supplies stores, I could spend a long time there and buy almost everything!

And that's how my Etsy store was born, I've always loved fashion design, I planned to make a carreer of it but I finally choose computers, and I'm happy with my choice but fashion design is just something I love to do. So having a little baby and lots of blogs with great ideas to inspire me, and some spare time (not too much with an active baby around) I started to design easy and comfortable clothes for babies and toddlers.

Right now I'm working on several products to add to my Etsy shop, I just need more hours in the day! I try to create easy patterns that a begginer or intermediate sewer can easily use.
